*sigh* Today is my last Fabulous Friday challenge with the Sugar Creek Hollow design team. What a wonderful group of supportive christian women! Each one of them has my gratitude and respect for the work they have done on this team over the last 6 months. Tracy is an amazing creative force to be reckoned with and with Joseline did a most excellent job with this team. Thank-you ladies! It's been a blessing.
Today's Fabulous Friday challenge is to make a card using no designer paper. Um... Excuse me? Is that possible?!!! Holy shamolies!!! I've seen other projects done without designer paper and some have been quite spectacular. To date, I haven't had much success when I've tried to do a card sans dp.
However, I think I'm happy with this one;
I figured I'd have the best success if I just didn't fiddle faddle with colour either. Me likey! It seems I'm on a bit of an elegant, romantic kick right now, and I'm quite tickled about it. This would also work well as a wedding card or first communion/baptism card by simply changing the sentiment. I used the Sugar Creek Hollow Decorative Cross and With Sympathy sentiment.
My idea for this card came from a wonderful tutorial Yvonne Hagane did as Spellbinders International Guest Designer. I am constantly in awe of this woman's creativity and I love the amazing, beautiful projects she creates. I used the following spellbinder nestabilities dies for this card; Labels 10, fancy tags, flower creations, petite ovals, and on the vine borderabilities die.
My fellow Sugar Creek Hollow design team members have done wonderful projects for today's challenge and I would invite you to take a peek at their work;
stamps; decorative cross, with sympathy (sugar creek hollow)
paper; coconut swirl (bazzill)
accessories; Labels 10, flower creations, petite ovals, fancy tags, on the vine borderabilities die (spellbinders), diamond stickles (ranger), rhinestone brads (making memories)
