OCC Doodle Challenge

Okay, I'm about over the moon right now. Kim Teasdale, on behalf of my friend Jennifer Meyer, invited me to be on the Our Creative Corner (OCC) design team. Was I interested? Um, YES!!!

The challenge posted by Kim for this week is to doodle. I can draw. Not so confident with doodling. I can't paint a wall, but I can paint a portrait. No, I can't explain this, and I'm not going to try. A challenge is called a challenge for a reason. I'm challenged.

On to the card... I stamped this little cutie patootie on Kraft paper (I know, big surprise there *snort*) and coloured it with prismacolors. I live somewhere totally landlocked, but I dream of a beach in Fiji - private of course! NO ONE needs to see me in a swimsuit! So this scene is a place I've only dreamed of. {insert contented sigh}

I used nestabilities to cut out the frame for this scene. The main image is mounted under the white scallop, and square green layers. The seashells on the flourishes are stamped in black, highlighted with white gel pen and outlined in light grey to give them a real dimensional look. The nestabilities and dp are all available from i {heart} papers and links are available in the recipe list below.

For more doodle details, stop by the OCC blog and play along with us! There's a whole bunch of amazing cards by the other OCC members, so check out their blogs too; Cindy Haffner, Jennifer Meyer, Kim Teasdale, Silke Ledlow, Lori Boyd, Robin Willis, Frances Byrne, Jenny Gropp, and Vicki Garrett.

Have a rockin' weekend!

stamps; seaside (crafty secrets)
paper; elephant, london, hazel, salt dotted swiss (bazzill), sage shadow (SU!), kraft (paper accents), marrakech 6x6 pad (basic grey - IHP)

What a truly gorgeous card! I am trying to figure out how you made the layer that is below the square (that is below the sentiment). Is that the corner punch you mention in your recipe? TFS!
