More notebooks. Actually, I only have one more to do and then I am done. Only 4 new clubbers this year. I was hoping for more, but that's just the way it goes sometimes.

I did this notebook and it really looked better in my head than on paper. It was so blah and too neutral. I strongly felt it needed something, and it took 2 days to figure out what. I stamped Bella Toile on the top note panel and coloured it in neutrals with prismacolors. BLAH! I thought about popping individual flowers, but it didn't seem right yet. Then, I glanced over and saw my chipboard. But it was grey - BLAH. Then I remembered my crackle paint - love that stuff and don't use it enough!. Perfect to cover the chipboard. I sprinkled glitter on the wet paint for a little pop. It took a bit longer to figure out what stamp to use that would work with a bunch of toile.

I hadn't inked up this butterfly yet from artistic outpost - my bad! This beautiful butterfly was the reason I bought the set. Stunning!!! I do like layering stamps, so I guess I have a preference for non-specific images. Hmmm - not sure how to qualify that -- anyhoo...

stamps; defining alphabet, define your life, bella toile (SU!), french quarter (inique boutique), happiness (artistic outpost)
paper; crate avenue (crate paper)
ink; creamy caramel (SU!), versamark, jet black staz on, sepia versafine (tsukineko)
accessories; black grosgrain ribbon, black brads, slot punch (SU!), periphery chipboard (basic Grey), men's dew drops (the robin's nest), pearl ex (jacquard), clear detail ep, tea dye acrylic crackle paint (ranger), prismacolors, hemp
And this little gem - it took all of 30 minutes!!! Oh yeah, baby! I accidentally didn't stamp a thing. Sometimes, stamping is just the wrong thing to do. I've had this acrylic flourish frame sitting on my desk for more than a year, but every time I tried to use it in a project, it just wasn't right. I think it's perfect here. It almost perfectly fits the 'dream' sticker - it was meant to be.

I think slowly but surely I'm getting over my very bad case of nomojoitis. Thank heaven!!! I still need to get over nosewingitis as well, but I think that will come in time. I feel a little like when you know you are getting better and it feels bad to be staying in bed, but you walk out to the couch and it feels like an entire day's worth of work - KWIM? But at least you know you are on the mend. It feels this way the creative part of my brain - getting there, but it's not easy yet. It's really been a long spell, but I think it's over! Yay me!

paper; grandma's kitchen (sei), brown (bazzill)
accessories; flourished frame, rhinestone brads (making memories), clear rhinestones (q&co.), daisy charm (7gypsies), silver elastic cord, chocolate chip wide satin ribbon (SU!)
