I love this little girl - it's from the And Everything Nice set from Stampin' Up! I coloured her while I was at the hospital with my dad. It was a terrific, quiet activity for me to stay busy with while he was napping. I used prisma colours for the main image and water based ink for her background. I ubitzed on her leg, but because the pencil crayons have such a high wax content I was able to rub off the bush that was suddenly growing from her leg! Iused oversized eyelets on the sentiment oval because the proportion seemed better. I used Happy Everything for the 'happy' and Karen Foster snap stamps for 'spring'. I just LOVE snap stamps. Snap the letters together and - voila! a sentiment is created. If you want to order some, let me know :)

I used some of my new Basic Grey Phoebe paper. I used to be the type that saved everything because what if I can't get it again?!! Since I started my own business I've realized that there will be more pretty new paper coming, so I want to use what I have to make room for new paper when it is released. Sometimes, I feel like my paper stash is growing. I keep using it, but it doesn't run out. Maybe my house is like the Elves and the Shoemaker - I do what I can during the day, they come at night and finish and replenish. My fabric is the same way. I cut out an Easter dress that I bought just enough fabric for, and I could make a second identical dress with what is left over!!!

Now, I fully admit to God's grace and mercy in my life. I know he has promised to throw open the storehouses of heaven when we are faithful in our tithes and offerings. I have seen the proof of this promise - God's ways are not our ways nor is His math like our math! How else can I explain that I need even more than our income actually is to make ends meet, but when I joyfully give 10% back to God, the 90% is MORE than the 100%?! God blows me away!
