A friend asked me to make a card for her specially to give away this Christmas.
Her Mother-in-Law loves cardinals and her favourite colour is blue. I wanted to combine the blue request with a more traditional colour scheme, and I think I failed miserably. I used my Jovial pad by Basic Grey because it had the blue in it I wanted, and I adore this stylized poinsettia paper so I chose to put them together. It took a day of looking at this card before I decided I liked it and that it all really did work together.
I referred to my cardinal colouring tutorial to pick the right colours again since I couldn't remember for the life of me what to colour the cardinal with.
Here are my copics of choice for this image;
YR12/16/68, R08/27/29, B0000/00/01, N1/3, E87, G94/99, colourless blender
stamps; snowy cardinal, cardinal holiday mailbox (heartfelt creations)
paper; jovial (basic grey), ivy, tropical breeze (bazzill), x-press it blending card stock (copic)
ink; rich cocoa, black tuxedo memento ink (tsukineko)
accessories; beaded ovals, lg oval nestabilities (spellbinders), stardust pen (sakura), copic markers

Oh my gosh Loretta... wow... wow... wow. Too pretty for words. Just beautiful.
I think the blue lifts the card beautifully Loretta.
Best wishes Linda
