Spring is Outside My Window

Okay, so not really, but I can always dream. I created this scene using the newly released Outside My Window set from Heartfelt Creations.

This image fits Spellbinder's Large Classic Ovals beautifully, which in turn fits the Decorative Oval Window Die just released by Heartfelt Creations. The basic layout of this project is really quite simple.

It took a few hours to colour this image. I coloured it using a variation on a technique called pointillism - a technique of painting in which small, distinct dots of pure color are applied in patterns to form an image. Rather than forming the image using dots, the dots are used to create life and shadow in the image.

Here are all the copic markers used to colour this image;

While it is a significant list of copics, I find it important to give appropriate depth to the colour in the scene. Do go to the Heartfelt Creations Blog to see the specific instructions for this project and to get some more inspiration from the rest of the Heartfelt Creations design team!

stamps; outside my window (heartfelt creations)
paper; flora and fauna specialty pad (k&co), skyline, nougat, walnut creme (bazzill)
ink; stormy sky distress ink, espresso adirondack ink (ranger)
accessories; glossy accents (ranger), ancestry adhesive beads (k&co), chocolate chip sating ribbon (SU!), Decorative oval window die (heartfelt creations), lg classic oval nestabilities (spellbinders), copic markers as listed
