The i {heart} papers design team are challenged this month to make a project based on a story. My life almost exclusively revolves around children's and young adult literature and I had quite a pool from which to draw my inspiration. My project is based on the children's series, 'Redwall' by Brian Jacques. It's a wonderful series with themes of bravery, loyalty, and a very little romance.
I've chose to be inspired by the romance aspect of Redwall which is a very sweet innocent thing a little like Robin Hood and Maid Marion.
I chose my colours from my paper, Count Me In 6x6 pad from sassafrass lass. I wanted a sweet sentiment so I turned (again) to Yu & Me from Unity stamps because it has so many terrific <3 sentiments. It's a keeper!
This darling image is Mice Kissing by Stampavie. It's such a sweet spring or romance image - love it! This yellow twill stripe ribbon is a perfect match for the yellow in this paper. I don't often use the phrase 'perfect match' because I am normally resigned to 'as long as it goes'. This ribbon/paper coordination almost makes my heart pitty pat because it really is perfect together. *insert contented sigh*
I used Copic markers to colour my image and it was fun to colour such a sweet spring image - bring on the tulips and hyacinth in my own garden!!!
We invite you to play along, and please use the tag code ihp0211 so we can find your story inspired project and leave you a comment! The rest of the team has some absolutely brilliant project for you;
