Hand Delivery Only

I have a gorgeous Autumn Corsage stamp from Heartfelt Creations.  This card really is a hand deliver specialty item.  I made it 6" square to accommodate the large size of this image.  This layout is a variation of Mojo Monday sketch 171.  I changed up the ribbon and I ran out of room for the little round side accent.

I have the instructions for this card on the Heartfelt Creations blog.  It took several hours to watercolour all 4 identical images I stamped to create this gorgeous, full nosegay.

It took another few hours to then cut the images apart to be able to layer up the image to give it this gorgeous depth and *uber* full foliage look I wanted.  This project is 1 1/2" deep and really is a good candidate for a shadow box to protect the blossom.

I love this extravagant look and I feel like the time that went into this project was worth every minute.   I used a Mojo Monday layout for this card and water coloured it using Distress Ink re inkers.  It felt good to use this colouring medium again after so many copic and prismacolour projects.  I want to keep all my colouring medium skills honed so I have to remember to water colour more often since that's the medium I use the least.

I appreciate so much when you stop by my blog and when you leave your kind words.

paper; curio - textile (basic grey), lush - cherry blossom (kaiser), geneva, blackberry swirl (bazzill), 140lb cold press water colour paper

accessories; Lg classic Squares nestabilities (spellbinders), clear detail emboss powder (ranger), aquapainter, beetle black brads (bazzill), black satin ribbon (offray)

Wow, Loretta! This is a gorgeous work of art! You really need to put it in a shadow box. It's amazing that you watercolored 4 images and then layered them. It looks so full and rich in the photo, but I'm sure it looks even better in real life. The rustic bg on which you place the blossom and leaves is also a very nice touch. Did you watercolor that as well? Of course, the layout is beautiful too! The foliage dp panels look like tiles.

Loretta, when I saw this on the HC blog I commented out loud - I so love this! I hate embossing, but I love the look you achieved here, not to mention the depth and dimension. Your patience really paid off! Beautiful.

Just love the card - and love that you made it 3-dimensional. So loved reading about the puppies too. They are adorable.
