Old Fashioned Christmas

It's time for another Heartfelt Creations project.  Today I used a new release set, Snowy Window Scene.  It's a really gorgeous set and I just love the comfy cozy feel of these images and they really are wonderful to colour!  Also, check out the Heartfelt Creations blog for more project ideas.

Cut card base 6" square. Cut brown card stock 5 7/8" square and pattern paper as follows; red pattern, 1 1/2"x 5 3/4"; green pattern, 1 1/2" x 4 1/2"; holly stripe 4 1/2" square. Adhere pattern paper to brown card stock and attach brads. Cut brown card stock rectangle image base 4"x 4 3/4" and set aside. Cut rust card stock 3 3/4" square and adhere to brown rectangle using dimensionals; set aside. Cut brown card stock square 3 1/2" square and mount on image base again using dimensionals.

 Cut white card stock 3 3/8" square and stamp image using dark brown ink. Colour image with the following prismacolour pencils;

yellows; 1012, 940, 914
green; 908, 911, 988
red; 924, 925, 926
grey; 1060, 1063, 1065, 1067
brown; 937, 944, 1094, 948, 941, 943, 1084

Copic markers B000, B0000 were used to colour the snow.

Using glue pen, apply adhesive to image and sprinkle with diamond dust glass glitter to give a very real snow effect I wasn't able to capture in the photograph no matter how I tried. Push edge of cardstock into glue pad to apply adhesive uniformly around image and apply glass glitter. Adhere image to image base using thin dimensionals.

Apply buttons and make bows using ribbon and twine and apply as shown.

stamps; HCPC 3357 Snowy Window Scene (heartfelt creations)
paper; hayley, geneva, coconut swirl (bazzill), christmas past 12x12 pad (graphic45)
ink; espresso adirondack ink (ranger)
accessories; ribbon (unknown), buttons (basic grey), linen thread (SU!), aged copper brads (making memories), diamond dust glass glitter (art institute glitter), bow easy, burlap twine, copic markers

Gorgeous creation! What a beautiful scene! Wonderful coloring work with the copics. The red bow is lovely and those buttons with twine bows are adorable.
