Inspired Happiness

The 2am feeds with the newborns are going okay.  It does help that there are 3 of us in with the puppies, which makes it go quicker.  Funny that no one wants to chat at 2am, and when we do need to speak, we whisper!

Today's Inspiration Challenge on SCS is a very cool looking online shop called, Decade Gifts.  How do they find all these cool online shops?  *sigh* Still living in a cave!  The coolest I get is i {heart} papers, which is pretty cool!!!  For today's challenge, I saw this paperweight, and it reminded me of some Unity stamps I have that are along the same line - the July kit, Key to Joy.  Even the title is perfect for this paperweight!!!  Maybe I should have done a more masculine card, but it's my girl friends that I give cards to, so frilly it is!

I stamped the image with black soot distress ink and used black detail embossing powder to give it a glossy finish.  The designer paper is a sweet little floral print from October Afternoon's Thrift Shop.  I coloured the heart with copic markers and applied a little rub on flourish before I sponged the edges of the sentiment while it was still inside the rectangle nestie die.  I used a border punch for the black lace frame, and hid an oops where the punch and my paper measurement didn't quite match by using black crepe ribbon underneath.  The bow was made in all its perfection using a Bow Easy - that tool is so much a part of what I use regularly that I often forget to list it in my supplies, like forgetting to list that I spent the entire day breathing when my husband asks me what I did today!

Have a fantasmagorical weekend!  And thanks for stopping by - you just made my day!
