I decided to use the 'Just Lion Around' image. I had the idea in my head to do this little guy on a set of darling little 4"x4" cards that I could write a little kid love note on and to pop into a lunch box during the up coming school year. Instead, I got carried away, and built this 6"x6" card... A little too big for a lunchbox, right? I'll do the little guys and show them to you later this month. I think it's too good an idea to let go! I really wanted to use my pinking circles from spellbinders, because that is a serendipity shape for this little lion dude.
I had a very brief moment of inspiration while I was awake working on this card. (okay, who else dreams about card making, love what you create while you are asleep, and then can't remember the specifics once you wake, but you just know it was SPECTACULAR!!!) *sigh* Anyhoo, I tossed the palm tree layer onto my circle cutout image and it landed askew and I thought how very perfect it looked!!! Yup, a happy, inspirational accident happened! Then, I started thinking, can I do that with the lion?! I cut out the layer with his body and no tail, but that was no good to shift (2 bums and 8 legs?!!!), but the 3rd layer with the mane worked and then I put the face on matching the orientation of the face with the mane or this little guy would have had 4 ears - not cool!
I coloured the image with copic markers and I think total, this card is an inch thick with all the layers and pop ups. I was very generous with pop up foam! I used Fly A Kite paper from October Afternoon. The sentiment was cut out with tags trio by spellbinders. The rest of the links for my supplies are in my recipe list.

Too darn cute! The colors are fabulous! I love how you popped the tree and lion.
Wayyyy cute! Your happy accident REALLY worked for you here! Love this!
Love the different layers!
WOWZA, your coloring is FAB and I love the extra dimension.
Holy lions! This is amazing!
Too stinkin cute girl!!! Hope you and yours are well :)
Loretta, this is fabulous! Love the way you built up the images. Having the layers slightly offset looks great. And, the pinking circle panel is a perfect match for that adorable lion's mane!
Awesome work, Loretta! The offset layering of the leaves makes the palm tree look much fuller. That lion is a cute lil' dude! Hope you can fit that card into the lunch bag : )
What a lovely card...gorgeous layout. :)
