AARCS update

Isn't her face beautiful?!!! If you don't know about our rescue dogs, please go read this post to learn what they were like when we first got them. This little girl, Sweetpea, was 2 lbs when she arrived 2 months ago. Yesterday, she was healthy enough for her spay and she weighed in at 16lbs. She still needs to gain weight, but she's come so far!

She needs to be treated like a princess for the rest of her life! She has turned out to be a delicate, darling girl and thrives on attention. She is already paper trained (along with the boys) and it won't be hard to get her fully house trained.

Lion LOVES the sprinkler! He runs like there is no tomorrow through that thing.

He has a beautiful face too. He has a more dominant personality than the others. He was very timid until the last 2 weeks when he finally decided he could trust us and, in fact, likes us. What a social coup for us!

This is Cosmos. He was 1 3/4 lbs 8 weeks ago. Yesterday he weighed in at 20 lbs and his legs have the girth of my wrist. He is approximately 4 months old. Holy Hannah he's going to be a BIG boy!

2 weeks ago when the puppies all got their vaccinations, he weighed less than Sweetpea!!! He's all hair and the vet assumed he was weighed wrong so he went back on the scale. I was right and he really was smaller, but that seems to have been the turning point for him. He's been growing dramatically ever since. What was in that needle anyway?!!

Look at his face!! His eyes are green/yellow. He must have the softest fur I think I've ever touched. He is so happy and we think there is a motor in his tail that runs constantly either at low speed ot fast, but doesn't turn off!

This is Aspen. *sigh* He is such a lovey baby! He is so smart and intuitive that he feels nearly trained. He sits on command, knows his name, rolls over, and he comes when called.

Isn't he darling?!!! It's been such an emotional journey with these guys and I wish we could keep them all. They have come so far in the 2 months since they arrived on my doorstep and I'm so proud of them.

*sigh* They went up on the AARCS adoption page today...

It is really neat to see how much they have grown in such a short amount of time, so great how well they are doing, it must be so neat to be apart of bringing them to such great health!
