SC219 Hey, Sunshine!

What a darling sketch today! I love the asymmetry of it and there are some particularly gorgeous cards today using this sketch.

I used the spellbinders sunflower set 2 shapeabilities to make this lovely bloom. I just love this set. It comes with a leaf, both size petal rings and the center. I also got the sunflower set 1, but the petals on that baby cover the palm of my hand, so a tad oversized for this card, me thinks! After cutting out the petals and sponging a little accent colour on them, I bent the tips up slightly for a bit more dimension.

Another new toy I got today was a cute little bottle that looks like liquid eyeliner. It's this fabo stuff called Smooch Pearlized Accent Ink by Colorbox/Clearsnap. Even the brush looks like a liquid eyeliner brush! I found that I have some precision issues with it - the same issues I have with my own liquid eyeliner. I like to be able to make VERY fine, even lines, but somehow I always manage to blob or just as I'm doing well, the liquid dries on the brush. And this is one of many reasons I rarely wear makeup! However, I really like this Pearlized Accent Ink because there is no pearlized ink pen on the market that I know of and this is what there is for now. Lots and gobs 'o glitter pens, but nothing pearly. So, despite the limitations of the brush blobbing issues I had which really was user error, this stuff is a keeper because I don't know of anything else on the market like it. It comes in 8 colours, but I can be a bit of a colour chicken since I hate buying colours and not being able to use them all the time so I opted for the white/neutral in the line.

Well, that's about that for today! It's REALLY cold in my basement today which is odd so I think we have some fresh air flow issues to work out and my hands and feet got to cold to work anymore. Hallelujah warm weather is on its way!!!
