i {heart} papers sketch challenge

The i {heart} papers design team was issued a sketch challenge by Kendra. It is a fabulous sketch! Be sure to stop by Kendra's blog for a little contest.

I used orchid greetings for all stamped images. The orchids are embossed with silver embossing powder and coloured with copic markers. I used white twill ribbon, available from IHP which I like better than any other 5/8" twill on the market because it is much softer and more pliable. I used oval and scallop oval nestabilities for the end. The dp is from my 6x6 Urban Prairie pad by Basic Grey.

Blue Moon Beads has put out these fabulous charms they call 'Tokens'. I used a bee hive here because I thought it went so very well with the little bee images on the paper. This little detail kinda tickles my detail bone!
I used a scrap of urban prairie paper left over from cutting the card front for the inside. I smiled when I realized the design was already cut evenly and the little bee was well placed. A very happy accident!
I stamped these orchids and went to the effort of cutting them out, so I figured they had all better get used for all that effort! I think the placement of these blooms was the toughest part of the whole card. I like how they spill about, but I think I need to make a little more dimension happen for a better spill effect.

Check out what the other design team members have done! All links are listed on my sidebar.

It's almost spring, so get outside and let the sun kiss your face!
