SC203 pink cupcake IHP

I've been meaning to use this stamp set, Birthday Cupcake, available from Kate at i {heart} papers, but sometimes there are more to-dos than the day is long!

I love the softness of this card. It isn't for a birthday - it's for a pick-me-up for a girl. My 12 yo dd approved, so I think it'll be just fine. It's sweet, just like the young lady it is being sent to.

Using Basic Grey's Eva 6x6 pad, I paper pieced the base of the cupcake. I used several other papers from this collection on the card. I used a pink marker to give the frosting a little highlight. I only have 8 1/2"x11" green tea paper so for the base of this 6"x6" card I had to cut 2 pieces. I joined them with a scrap that folds over the top of the card, sandwiching the card base. I used my scor-pal to score just below the upper scallop edge so the card can be easily opened.

Thanks for stopping by and sharing in the journey for today!!!

OMG, what a SWEET card! I love everything about it. Love how you used grey to stamp instead of black. It softens the look just enough. It's sure to pick up any girl's spirits!
