I've seen Don Li-Leger's art work (seen here at art.com) in catalogues and sprinkled here and there in shops and such. I always think his art is wonderful and right up my alley. I was given a monetary gift for a house warming gift, and I want to get some wall art with it. His work would look FAB in our house, I think. Okay, now which ones?....

I stamped the silhouette from Essence of Love in Walnut Stain, then embossed. I wasn't quick enough, so some of the ink dried before I could get the powder on. However, the dottie spotty embossing powder effect adds to this image rather than detracting from it. I always love it when some of my MANY ubitzes work out well. I then stamped over using vintage photo ink using the silhouette grass from Inspired by Nature. The patterned paper was already all the right gradations of colour for the style and look - I used scraps laying on my desk that I hadn't cleaned up yet.

I'm sending this gem off to my husband's aunt who was recently diagnosed with breast cancer and has already had a double mastectomy. Her chemotherapy starts soon.

Thank-you for stopping by today. It always does my heart good to share with you, especially when you leave comments for me ;)

This is gorgeous! I must remember that neat look you got by tying the ribbon knot through the coin! I have tons of those type coins and am sooo tired of dangling! :)

This is so earthy and beautiful! I love the peaceful feel of this card.
My thoughts and prayers go out to your aunt for a full recovery.
