Unity Stamps Project

This set was jammed into the middle of a very busy few days. You can't imagine how many times I stood at my chair - without sitting - gazing at the butterflies and sighing that I was supposed to be rushing on my way to doing something else. It was a loooonngggg few days.
I stamped the butterfly on white cardstock using versamark and heat embossed using black detail ep. I sponged ink on the wings, graduating the colour starting from lightest to darkest. These images from Unity Stamp Company are fabulous for this technique!

I used colorbox chalk ink on all the sentiment tags. I applied the chalk ink with the ink pad direct to paper. It's AMAZING! I love how the softness of the chalk and the patterned paper make the butterflies look so crisp and vibrant.

I wanted the wings to have a little more sparkle, so I painted them with twinkling H2O's. I tried to get a good close-up of the wings, but I don't have a new camera yet. I've been told it's coming but timing is everything. I guess the timing isn't right yet...

Normally, I'm allergic to black but I think I've been diligently working towards developing a tolerance for it. These cards really needed the black to 'pop'.
