I'm quite taken with this image. There are highlights and shadows that appeared that I didn't intentionally put there.

I stamped Moonlit Fairy in pitch black and then embossed with clear ep. I watercoloured the moon with lemonade adirondack ink and covered it with Ranger crackle medium. That baby took all afternoon to dry! I used a versamark pen on the wings and painted with pearlex for that magical shimmer! {insert happy dance} I covered the wing with Matte accents from Ranger - it didn't go as matte as I thought it would, but that makes the wings look quite like stained glass...very nice!

After everything was dry, I wet the watercolour paper and painted it with adirondack reinkers. Denim and Stonewashed have a tendency for the pigments to separate when watercoloured with, and that gives a very lovely effect with a little bright teal and some purple tints toward the bottom half of the image. It's a real pain when I didn't know this verigation of colour would happen, and it really messed up my first image months ago when I started watercolouring with the Adirondacks, but now it is a highly anticipated and desirable effect. In the end, I washed the entire image with Latte to tone it down some as it was quite bright when laid on the background.

I just got some Tim Holtz ideology fragments. SO COOL!!!!! I'll be using those a lot, probably more than is logical, but DD is the logical one, not me!
