I received the new Cosmo Cricket paper Fleuriste last week - Holy Shamolies it is gorgeous!!! It's a little like Basic Grey's Stella Ruby, but with purple. Very rich, very lush!

I did this for the Feature Stamper challenge on SCS. The original card is called Western Congrats and I decided to give it a bohemian flair with my new Fleuriste paper. I used the new Stampin' Up! set Friendly Flowers for the main image, but the white and plum look was too stark for the rest of the card. I distressed it with distress inks, and then restamped the main image using some darker inks than I used the first time. I used a stipple brush to apply the ink for a more mottled appearance to the ink. I like the technique and I'm going to keep working at it to get a really unique look.

stamps; friendly flowers (Stampin' Up!)

paper; Fleuriste (Cosmo Cricket), Vancouver, Paris, French Silk (Bazzill)

ink; purely pomegranate, bravo burgundy, elegant eggplant (Stampin' Up!), antique linen, tea dye (Distress ink by Ranger), Raisin, cranberry, wild plum (Adirondak ink by ranger)

accessories; love and happiness rub ons (Stampin' Up!), geneva brads (Bazzill), miscellaneous corner punch, Mega (pink) scallop circle punch (Marvy), triple corner punch (EK Success), antique copper brad (making memories), antique copper jumbo eyelet (We R Memory Keepers, brown twill ribbon (Martha Stewart), hemp twine
