Well, it's Sale-a-Bration time at Stampin' Up! I hear tell there are some Demos who do $30k+ at this time of year. Holy shamolies! I kinda thought I'd have my weekends booked this month. Nope. 3 workshops is all. Only one wasn't a workshop. I was asked to come do a Valentine's card class at an office tower downtown. That was fun! 4 of the 14 ladies knew what to do with tape runners. In the end, they all want another class, and can I come regularly? They thought it was so much more fun than most other motivational speakers they bring in for lunch sessions. Yay!!!

This is the card I'll do for the hostesses. I'll have the flowers pre-cut because who really wants to come to a workshop and watch a demo cut a flower, let alone 2 of them! I sponged around the flower and the sentiment with sahara sand. I like the soft, smudginess of this card. It makes sahara sand look almost pretty. *snort* It's not up there on my favourite colour list. Not even close. However, I really like the Fall Flowers designer paper because I do love soft sky and old olive and they are co-ordinating colours on this paper...with sahara sand. So, for these projects which have a very specific focus (SAB), a limited time (until March 17th), and few opportunities (*sigh*) I will choose to temporarily make peace with Sahara Sand.

stamps; Friendship Blooms (Stampin' Up!)
paper; whisper white, soft sky, fall flowers designer paper (Stampin' Up!)
ink; sahara sand, close to cocoa, soft sky (Stampin' Up!)
accessories; 1" & 1 3/8" circle punches, blender pen, soft sky stitched grosgrain, mat pack, key tag punch, heat and stick powder, dazzling diamonds glitter, sponge dauber (Stampin' Up!), two scoops brads (Basic Grey)

This is for the make and take. It isn't what I did originally. In fact, everything on this card is recycled from the first attempt. I should have taken a picture of it! It's like extreme home make overs only for cards - or JulieHRR's more is more challenges over on SCS. I made the first one in less than 5 minutes. It was ok - barely. It's didn't pass muster with DH or DD#2. DD#1 thought it was fine, but then she didn't see my high school grad dress (see previous post for reference). I slept on it (not literally *LOL!!*) and woke up with an epiphany. More is MORE!!! Give them layers! Multiple opportunities to use punches! Another sentiment! Bring it on BABY!!!!

stamps; so many scallops, all holidays (Stampin' Up!)
paper; sahara sand, close to cocoa, soft sky, old olive, fall flowers dp (Stampin' Up!)
ink; close to cocoa
accessories; hemp twine, 1" circle punch, scallop punch, earth elements buttons (Stampin' Up!), jumbo (blue) circle scallop punch (Marvy Uchida)
