This our girl who went missing this past summer. I took her to the vet in September to get her checked out after I felt she had recovered. She lost about 2lbs (20% of her body mass) while she was missing and when the vet weighed her, she'd gained 4lbs from the day I weighed her. Woohoo!!! The vet said, now don't get your hopes up for puppies this year (What the heck?!!! I was still so happy that she came back alive after 8 days and made such a lovely recovery!!!). He said that because of the trauma she endured she may not cycle again until spring. I was thinking - I can deal with that because she is healthy and in my arms. So many people were praying for this little dog while she was gone. And here she is.
Willow is in heat!!!! She'll be ready for the boy mid-week next week. Dogs have a 63 day gestation - 9 weeks. Now, hold your shorts - that will put her due on Christmas Day-ish, with a variable of a day or so either way!!!! God sure has a sense of humor sometimes as he pours out his blessing on those who trust and love Him, eh?!

God was speaking to Job toward the end of Job's trial as Job was questioning God's decisions. When Willow was missing I kept praying these verses, knowing God brought Willow to us as a puppy, and that His blessing is on us as we move toward being registered bure-bred Sheltie breeders. His will will not be stopped. He protected this little dog AND brought her home. Now, for His glory, she is in heat and will be due at Christmas. Of course God is intimately aware of and concerned for His creation (not our creation). WOW!!!!!
