I had this scrap from my Cosmo Cricket Jitterbug paper sitting on my desk. My DD used the rest of the page and didn't clean up - bless her heart - so I decided to use it up. I pulled some coordinating Bazzill - cashmere, pomegranate, and oxford. This is contrary to how I typically get ready for a project. Then I chose Stamp of Authenticity - I've had the poor thing for more than a week, and it had yet to see ink! Bad me!

I distressed the library card with distress inks; tea dye, vintage photo and walnut stain. These are my favourite for this technique. I used blue bayou for the authentic image across the card, and sponged a little of it across the genuine article label. I didn't realize until today (where has my head been?!!) that image fits the label punch. I used my Marvy Uchida Jumbo scallop heart punch for the blue edge. Not sure I like it though. It's one of those details I think was that a good thing after I'm done.

I used my three for you punch box at which point this went from a masculine card to - oops! It was supposed to be a masculine card. I bought a roll (okay, 2 rolls) of the taupe ribbon before it was retired, and I don't regret it. It goes with many of the new papers and ribbons that were just released by SU! I used ruby pearls from Ranger for the center of the flowers.

Overall, I'm happy with the look of this card. Now, I need to go get my stampin' space ready for the Dirty Dozen week long challenge!!!!! Does life get any better than this?!!!!!!! The ingredients for this card are in my gallery on splitcoast
