UFO 2

I'm 2 for 2 UFO's. Yay for me!
I give many of these cards to the teens in my church for their birthdays, get well, sympathy, whatever the occasion. I also give them to adults who host the teen Bible study. I want so much for the teens to know that they are cared for, prayed for, thought about.
I almost pitched the start of this card. I ran the card base through my Cuttlebug and lightly sponged cool caribbean over the embossing. Then I added the pattern paper layered strip...and stalled. That was a month ago. My problem (ok, is it really a problem?...) is that I'm too frugal for my own good. "I'll do something with it - why throw away a perfectly good start to a card." I cringed every time I happened upon the sad little thing over the past month. I kept thinking I should just release myself from this little ubitz, pitch it and carry on with my life. Then there was the louder, frugal side that kept at me - it's sacrilege to throw away any Basic Grey... Today is the day the sad little thing became transformed. I realized the cool caribbean on the embossing was the problem, so I browned it up. I think I need Big Blooms from the spring mini - it would have been perfect here, but I want to get these treasures taken care of today. None will be put aside!
Now, I look and think - what was the big deal with this cutie-pie anyway?...

Hey Loretta! It's me Kirsten. I found your blog on Jenn's blog. Your cards are beautiful. Do you do scrapbook pages as well. Where do you find the time? I just started scrapbooking not too long ago and love it. That is when I find the time. Come check us out if you have a chance.
