OCC Man card!

We all have some special men in our lives, and it's always a good thing to have a card or two in our stash to celebrate their special day! Your challenge this week is to make a masculine birthday card. No tricks or a recipe to follow. Simply create a card for that special guy in your life to celebrate his birthday.

To play along, upload your creation to your blog or gallery, then link it here with the direct link with our NEW linky system. If you upload to SCS, remember to use keyword: OCCC

Here's my sample;

I always struggle with guy cards. I don't know why. I guess it's just that I'm used to making pretty, dolled up cards that tickle my fancy and the fancy of the recipient (I hope!) I chose to make a simple card for today's challenge, and I bet this card didn't take 45 minutes to make. This is shocking for me, since I'm one of those take an hour to figure out the layout, the papers the doodads and pretties that I'll use, and then I have lunch to mull it all over and go back and change the paper or this or that and then it's almost time to make supper because one of my kids walks through the door and tells me they are starving half to death and can they munch on a sibling?!!!

I digress... Easy peasy lemon squeezie this card is and it's only 5"x5". Tiny and Masculine!

Have a wonderful weekend, and check out the OCC blog for the rest of the eye candy from the design team! Ta!

stamps; papertreyink

OCC - Mother's Day Card

This week my challenging is to make a Mother’s Day card with no flowers or blossoms on your card. Mother’s Day is coming very soon. Flower shops will be full of beautiful blooms of many beautiful fragrances and vibrant colours. This will be a card that we can give along with a beautiful bouquet without competing with natural floral beauty! Anyone can play and we can't wait to see your creations.

Please remember there is no time limit on our challenges - participate whenever you are able. To play along, upload your creation to your blog or gallery, then leave us a comment linking to your card/project so we can check it out. If you upload to SCS, remember to use keyword: OCCC

I love this house mouse image and it FEELS like Mother's Day to me. I don't know many moms who don't spend copious amounts of time cuddling with their little ones, and their bigger ones! *grin* It's one of the best things about being the mom - KWIM?!

I coloured this image with Copic markers and accented it with prismacolours. It is a fairly simple image to colour thanks to the quality of the house mouse images.

Have a wonderful weekend, everyone!
