Let it Snow!

It's snowing outside my window today. I really shouldn't complain because, for the first time in several years, we had a long, beautiful summer. And so, I am weather inspired.

I pulled out some oldies and mixed them up with some new stamps I have to create this little card.

Neither this sizzix snowflake die or this Martha Stewart punch have see the light of day for at least a year. I added some clear glue and poured on the glitter! It looks divine IRL.

Then, I used a PERFECT set of Christmas sentiments by Flourished that I just received from i {heart} papers. I might not be part of the team right now, but I really do {heart} ihp!! Since the stamps are acrylic, I used Tuxedo Black Memento ink for that perfect coverage.

I got this image from Pure Innocence, an Espy store. I think he's darling!! Since I'm a little rusty, I applied glue and glitter to the snowflakes BEFORE I cut it out using my Big Shot, and so I lost all the dimension of my 'snowflakes'. They turned out to be BIG, FAT fluffy flakes instead. Note to self: take time away from teaching and studying to craft a little, eh!!

I am quite pleased that I haven't lost too much of my touch with my copic markers. I was really nervous since it's been months since I cracked a copic to colour!!

Thanks for popping by, and bear with me as I adjust to teaching high school full-time and continue with graduate studies. I'll be in and out as much as I can, but this are much more out these days. xoxo

stamps; sentimental christmas (flourishes from ihp), snowman (pure innocence)
paper; x-press it (copic), midnight frost (bo bunny), oxford, white canvas, powder blue (bazzill)
ink; black tuxedo memento (tsukineko from ihp)
accessories; squares nestabilities, labels 17 (spellbinders), snow flake punch (martha stewart), clear rhinestones (basic grey), angel dust glitter (art institute), copic markers (from ihp)
