IHP Guest Book

Hello, peeps!! Today, the i {heart} papers design team has been challenged to use the Studio Calico Journal Kit. It's fantastic! I love the filler pages that are included in the kit. The chipboard cover is really durable (no dents and I dropped the front cover twice!) and cuts fairly easily with the cinch by memory keepers.

I've turned my journal into a guest book. The pages are terrific for guests to leave their comments and blessings for us and I've added a little surprise in the pages...

I cut the glue flap off some envelopes and trimmed off the return address end of the envelope so it was the same size as the filler sheets. Then, when I assembled and bound the book, the cut ends are closed by the binding rings. Brilliant! I or my guests can stuff little bibs and bobs in the envelope to be enjoyed and reminisced on later!

I used Mon Ami Paris by Technique Tuesday for all the images I've stamped in my guest book and on the cover. I used both Tuxedo Black and London Fog Memento ink on this book.

This little 'noteworthy' mini memo is from Fiddlesticks by my mind eye. This pad of paper has an entire 6x6 sheet of darling little themed memo cards just like this one.

These flowers were cut using both the scallop and plain rolled posie dies by memory box. I added a little glitz and glam by adhering a sparkler by webster's pages in my largest posie.

I decided to add a touch of elegance by using one of my butterfly push pins with my grey satin bow. Seriously peeps, Kate is where I go for all my basic supplies that I seem to consume on a regular basis! She has and excellent selection and I do love her taste in papercrafting supplies!

Do go and check out what the rest of the team has done with this terrific journal kit and say a special hi to Michele Gross, our June guest designer!

This is gorgeous! I love those flowers with the woodgrain. I especially love the grey with the pop of color. I need to use grey more often! Thanks for the inspiration!
