ihp and a little Mint Motif

This month the i {heart} papers design team is featuring Mint Motif stamps available exclusively from i {heart} papers. Kate will host a Mr. Linky on her blog, so participants can add their links there before 6pm (EST) on Sunday, March 25th to be entered for a prize. A real prize, peeps! So get your i {heart} papers out and get 'em inky!!!

I've done a gift set for the challenge today.

This card features a sentiment from Sweet Hearts by Mint Motif and paper from Howdy Doody by My Mind's Eye. They are a lovely pairing since the sentiments and paper are so classic! This paper collection is also perfect with the Howdy Doody paper pad because it has lovely, homey patterns that are a divine compliment to the images in this set!

Because this is an acrylic set, I mounted the sentiment stamp in a slight curve to better fit the banner die. I used Ripe Persimmon distress ink for the word, 'heart' for a little emphasis. The rest of the sentiment was inked with Tuxedo Black Memento ink.

I made this box in a bag from a tutorial on Splitcoast. It was super easy to makeso it's a winner and I'll be using it again! I'm not able to tie the handles because they are on the delicate side, so that's a detail I need to rethink for next time. This project wouldn't have come together so easily without my Scor-Pal or 1/4" tape. If you haven't broken down and bought a Scor-Pal yet, really, you are missing out! It's a tool that has become indispensable in my paper crafting and I can't really do without it anymore...or my bow easy!

Look at the depth this project has!

It's all about these divine scallop posies. This is a marvelous die that I will spout off about for the next year, at least. It makes the most perfect sized spiral flowers - the same size as I was making cutting my own. Love it! Now I can make a whole line up of identical flowers, which tickles the OCD happy place in me. I used snow white pearls in the center of my flowers, and I really love this effect.

Do hop along and check out the rest of the Mint Motif projects we have lined up for you!
