Here's the honest to goodness truth behind this card - uh, bag. Last Friday it should have been illegal for me to be a mom. I gave my kids a serious, loud lecture at least twice. It was a hard day. Then our sewer pipe backed up and flooded out furnace room with 2" of yuck, and my house smelled a lot like potty activity #2. City workers came to unplug the sewer pipe and I could hear the them talking and they were blah blahing about it was likely plugged from toilet paper since there are so many females in my house.
Once my furnace room drained and they gave me the all clear, my kids gathered at the stair rails because they were loudly summoned. I was in the basement looking up to give them whatfore about the toilet paper thing, and I felt the ligaments give way in my neck. It felt like my whiplash recurred full force and I thought I might be sick right there. My payback for the illegal parenting I was doing all day, I guess. I have hardly been able to hold my head up unsupported all weekend and there was a significant pain factor. There was no crafting this weekend. No stamping, knitting or sewing.
Last night, I wasn't able to sleep and I got up at 3:30am and came into my studio. My neck wasn't hurting as bad so I thought I'd get my late Halloween card project done for By Lori Designs.
I finished up fairly quickly and went back to lay down at about 5:30am. When I got up an hour later to take my older kids to school for band rehearsal, I took a peek at my email and was kindly reminded about my 3-D Halloween project that was past due. I had forgotten it needed to be a 3-D project...
So I grabbed a gift bag and stuck my card front on it. Desperate times call for desperate measures!!! I saw a tutorial for this bag topper by Tosh Leyendekker on her blog. Thank heavens I was able to take a little time to surf this weekend!!! Tosh, I owe you!
I used Lollipop Lil' Chef (girl) dressed up for Halloween and the Pumpkin By Lori Designs Halloween Tote along with a sentiment from Halloween Sentiments, from the set pictured below.
I coloured this darling girl using the following copic markers;
hat, bowl, apron, background; T0/1/2, colourless blender
shoes; T5/6/8
skin; E000/00/01, R12
hair, spoon; E51/53/55/57
tote, shirt; YR000/01/12/16/24
