Heartfelt Creations - Christmas Cheer

It is a most happy Christmas Cheer Collection launch day at Heartfelt Creations!!! The Christmas Cheer Collection features 14 new precut stamp sets and one exclusive Heartfelt Creations die manufactured by Spellbinders. The possibilities with the classic images in this collection are absolutely endless. You will achieve handmade projects that will "wow" your friends and family this Christmas season. Leave a comment on the Heartfelt Creations blog by September 20 for a chance to win the entire release valued at $240.00.

I chose to use Scenic Christmas Bells and Snowy Winter Background for my project today. I coloured my image with the 'Black Magic' technique - stamp image on dark card stock using white ink and colour with prismacolor pencils. Since the Snowy Winter background has the first 2 lines of  'It Came Upon the Midnight Clear', I thought this was a perfect technique/image pairing.

This image lends itself beautifully as well to a little layered Paper Tole technique;

I love that all these layers have the effect of making the bell look as though it could sit on a table top or hang on a tree and be rung!

The bell could be hung by this darling bow! I cut several 1 1/2" snowflakes using my Winter Lace Cricut cartridge. I scored the snowflakes in half and then cut the snowflakes in half perpendicular to the score line. Each of the snowflake halves were glued together at the fold line, allowing the snowflake tips to flare in a fan effect, further creating bell shaped dimension - so loverly!

I created a little snowfall down the edge of the image by cutting out extra snowflakes using the Winter Lace cartridge and glittered them with crushed glass shards. I have links for the products used on this card in my recipe list below.

We invite you to see the rest of the projects using the newly released Christmas Cheer Collection on the Heartfelt Creations Blog, and do leave a comment to be eligible to win the entire new release!
