IHP Unity Hop

Hello! Today the IHP DT is Hip Hopping along with the Unity Design Team. So be sure to check all their blogs for fabulous projects showcasing Unity stamps!

In celebration of this little hop, ALL full-sized kits are $12 or less! But, there is VERY limited inventory and these past kits will not be restocked so don’t wait or you might miss your chance to get them at this price. Happy hopping and happy SHOPPING!

For my project, I used a cute sentiment from You & Me by Unity. I really love using unexpected combinations and for this card, I used a more modern sentiment and font placed in the midst of some shabby chic happiness!

I sponged my paper - Sweetness by Pink Paislee - using walnut stain, vintage photo and tea dye Ranger Distress Ink.

I cut my sentiment using large square nestabilities, framed it using a Parisian Accents medallion (both by Spellbinders and if Kate is out of stock contact her for re-ordering information), and then mounted it on a Corrugated Frame by Jillibean Soup. I used the Parisian Accents border for the lower edge of the sentiment panel and I layered it up using olive green satin ribbon, vintage natural lace by Kaiser Craft, and half a taupe pearl flourish from Zva. The icing on the cake is the cotton candy stickles used on the sentiment heart - LOVELY!!! I had to use 2 layers of stickles because the walnut stain ink I used to stamp the sentiment bled into the stickles and turned it more caramel than cotton candy. The second layer of stickles stayed the soft pink I wanted in the first place.

Here's the list for the IHP DT members hop;

Wow! Such rich earth tones on this card! I really like the distressing that you did on the patterned bg panel. The crimped and sponged frame is very interesting and creative. Beautiful work, Loretta!
