Happy hump day!
When I make dimensional flowers, as I do for many of my Heartfelt Creations projects, I use the following tools for making the petals curl;
Sad, eh? It drives me a little crazy that the tiny ball on my stylus leaves marks on my flowers petals and I have sought consolation by telling myself that it looks distressed. Nope. The truth is the flowers looked bad and I was distressed. Yes, I used the rounded end on my Copic pen as well to work my flowers and try to flatten out the scored lines the little ball on my stylus made.
About 2 weeks ago I took a peek for what was new on the Heartfelt Creations website in the 'Tool' category. I love new tools!! Look what I found;
SHUT UP!!! How did I miss this little set of happiness?!!! Allow me to introduce you to one of my new favourite tools, the Paper Blossom Tool Kit. Oh my goodness, this set has already made my flower making life easier! Check out what I did using these babies;
That is a whole lot of flower love, eh?! btw, sorry about the slight blur to the image, I forgot the landscape setting was on on my camera...
I worked these flowers to death and didn't have any tearing or other sad accidents I've had to cope with previously. Check out all the dimension;
I know! Paper blossom making just doesn't get any easier than this!! I stamped blossom layers from Botanical Floral 1 & 2 on pattern paper to get all that gorgeous colour. Since I used pattern paper, the coordinating Rose Creations Shapeabilities Set set AND my Paper Blossoms Tool kit, these blooms were done in record time! If you get the impression I am happy, *ding, ding* you are SO right!
I have instructions for this card on the Heartfelt Creations blog if you want to recreate this card, and all the product I have used is linked in my ingredients list below. The rest of the Heartfelt Creations design team has some gorgeous work for you as well on the blog, so grab a cuppa and enjoy!
