IHP Colour Blocking

I often see colour blocking in fashion magazines and I remember when I was in High School and jewel tones colour blocked with black was all the rage. The challenge Deb came up with for the i {heart} papers design team is to try colour blocking and we'd invite you to play along with us! Please use code ihp0511 when you upload so we can find your project and leave a comment for you!

I decided to doll up a gift bag using colour blocking. I find we are always in need of gift bags in my house because we go through them very quickly, especially the smaller sizes now that my girls are old enough to be choosing to gift their friends with fashion accessories!

I used a sentiment from The Right Words by Unity Stamps for this particular gift bag. The font is a perfect little size and the look of it coordinates really well with the For the Record paper I've used here. I layered up Labels 14, Fancy Tags 2 and Petite Oval Nestabilities Spellbinders dies to frame the sentiment. To colour the sentiment, I used the following copic markers; E30, E31, G24, R29, colourless blender.

Enjoy hopping through the design teams blog for some more colour blocking inspiration!!! Have a great day!
