For my Heartfelt Creations card today, I decided to feature the butterfly from Bella Rose House. The insect stamps from this set are designed to go with the new Fanciful Flights Shapeabilities die set from Spellbinders.
I created the swirls for the base of my embellishment cluster by stamping Bella Rose Leaves and cutting it out using the coordinating die from the Bella Rose die set. Then, I stamped the rose branch from Classic Bella Rose and cut it out using the coordinating die from the same set, along with a few vellum branches. I stamped a couple of roses, coloured them, then layered everything into a lovely little corsage like cluster.
I stamped the swirly image from Classic Bella Rose on my vellum using Stazon Ink. Using a stylus, I embossed the image from the wrong side and coloured it with copic markers. I love the frame effect it creates for my butterfly.
The pearls are a lovely touch with a very practical purpose; they hide the adhesive I used to attach the vellum! I used the brightest copic colours from my butterfly to colour the back of my vellum panel and this is important because the colours become very muted through the embossed vellum. I'm thinking this technique is called debossing vellum, but I could be wrong. After I coloured my butterfly, I covered it with stardust stickles, and this is slightly visible in all the photos. I used chose my colours from my designer paper to achieve an overall coordinated look, and I love the way these colours look as I clustered my copics together;
G16, G20, G21, G24
B93, B95, B99
YR14, YR20, YR24
E57, E59
