IHP PCP Sketch Challenge - sk040911

Good Morning! Today it's my turn for sketch challenge (sk040911) on Paper Craft Planet.

I really like this sketch! I'm not always happy with the sketches I come up with and this one is derived from a little layout sketch my youngest daughter did on some scrap on my stamping desk, so really, this is her sketch which is maybe why I like it so much! *giggle*

I did a masculine card for 'Take #1' of this sketch. When Kate started carrying Technique Tuesday stamps at i {heart} papers, I saw this little Love Makes the World Go Round set with the cool gears in the heart and it made it onto my must have list. It was perfect for my Tim Holtz Sprocket Gears that I just love to hoard and rarely use (my bad!!) I used the mustard colourway papers from my Hattie paper pad by Stella and Rose (MME) and some natural burlap twine to finish the masculine look of my card.

I have many more ideas for this sweet little thang which I hope to get to this week! Buttons on the embellished band for a darling baby card. Little images or larger sentiments OR a die cut butterfly or heart on the image space. There are really not enough carfting hours in the day!!!

stamps; love makes the world go round (technique tuesday)
paper; hattie by stella and rose (MME), nougat, canvas white (bazzill)
ink; blue/brown cats eye set (colorbox)
accessories; natural burlap twine (may arts), sprocket gears (ranger)

Awesome guy card! The gear hardware are perfect embellishments and that heart is so cool. The bunched twine goes very well with this overall masculine theme.

very cool, like the way you arranged your embellishments and the neat tying of the sting!
