By Lori Designs Colour Challenge

 

Hi there, friends. It's Thursday and that means a colour challenge from By Lori Designs and the challenge team. While this colour challenge initially made me think boy image, I thought about my youngest daughter whose room is painted blue and green, similar to the lighter colours of today's challenge. I thought about her on a fresh spring day playing outside in her favourite pair of denim shorts under a cloudless sky and in doing so, planned out this card;

I love the sweetness of Lori's images. They are innocent and everything I want my kids to have and be in their childhood. I used Marjolaine pattern paper from Basic Grey for this card and once I decided on the paper I chose my copic colours. I used this week's Mojo Monday #181 sketch for my card layout.

I coloured this Girl with Kite with a smaller assortment of copics than I have in the recent past so she would have a more whimsical feel to her. And I just love that her kite is escaping!!
