IHP Challenge - Fashion Inspiration

The IHP design team has been challenge this month to create a project inspired by fashion.  I have 2 teen girls in my house and I used their terrific fashion sense for my inspiration.  They love the look of the super cinched waist achieved by wearing a wide belt high up on their torso and I decided to use that look for my project.

I took a bottle of sparkling apple juice and created a card to go with.

I used Moonrise paper because it goes so well with the green of the bottle.  This card is made using this week's sketch challenge over on Paper Craft Planet.  Go-jus!  The butterfly and square frame for the image are from Butterfly Kisses and the sentiment is from Art of Nature, both sets by Our Craft Lounge.  Manilla Basic Ribbon Doilies run down the length of the card accenting the brown ribbon and giving a little flirty fashion fun to the card.  These ribbon doilies are terrific to use!  The packages are built so that they are a dispenser and storage container.  The paper ribbon is super sticky and the patterns are divine.  I added some killer bling using yellow glitter paper from petaloo.

The band on the bottle is so like the wide belts that are so fashionable right now.  I used an Artisan Element by Pink Paislee with a metal filigree butterfly for the 'big buckle '.

I built up the band on the bottle one layer at a time.  It cannot be put together flat and then applied to the bottle because the upper layers will be too tight and pop off.  My kids love it and looking forward to cracking this bottle open for our New Year's celebrations.

We would love for you to play along with us and ask that you use code ihp1210 so we can find your project and leave you comments.  The rest of the team has some great projects in store for you, so please go ahead and take a peek at the line up;
stamps; art of nature, butterfly kisses (our craft lounge)
paper; moonrise 6x6 pad (sei), carob cream, walnut creme, java (bazzill), glitter sheets (petaloo)
ink; espresso adirondack, antique linen, tea dye, vintage photo, walnut stain distress inks (ranger)
accessories; metal filigree (sei), artisan elements (pink paislee), brown 1/4" ribbon (offray), copics (YR09, YR16, YR18, YR21, YR31)
