Happy day! Christmas card season has begun!!! Heartfelt Creations has released some gorgeous Christmas stamps which I have used on this card;
I am quite enamoured of the Elegant Holly Swirls that was released last month, and now, there is another set with a lovely Christmas Eve service feel to it called, Church in the Wildwood. Specific instructions for this card including measurements can be found on the Heartfelt Creations blog.
I stamped the small Elegant Holly Swirl on ivory cardstock using pale brown/grey ink. I coloured the holly and berries using copic markers and NOT with prismacolours as the ink from the next step with not dry properly. I over stamped the Peace on Earth sentiment in dark brown ink on the holly swirl. Using a glue pen, I traced the under or over side of the swirls and applied glitter.
Using these stamps is reminding me how much I love my essentials glue pad, my Sakura glue pen and Art Institute glitter. After I made this card, I went to pick my kids up from their after school programs, and they wanted to know what glitter explosion I walked through! Getta outta here! I didn't think I had that much sparkle on me, but I guess I was wrong...
