A 'Just Be' kinda day

I leave for San Diego in 2 days for a Youth Leader Training weekend.  It's a really big conference and a lot of very cool things are going to happen.  I'm starting to get excited now.  There has been so much to do that I have had trouble getting my head around my trip, but as of today the following has happened so that I feel a little better about getting excited; I found my passport, I have travel insurance, I exchanged some of my currency for some American currency, I AM COPIC CERTIFIED *squeal*, and the puppies (all of them) are on the road to healthy.  Having wormy intestines can really do a number on a little guy!!!  All I have left to do is laundry and groceries and I'm good to go!

To celebrate progress in my preparations, I made this card using almost all new supplies.  Love it!

There are 6x6 pads of Pyrus in stock now at i {heart} papers, but likely not for long.  It's an earthy collection with a lovely, soft palette - feminine in a Mother Earth kind of way.

Kate got this fabulous new product from Ranger - Enamel Accents.  It is ridiculously wonderful stuff!!!  I'm a bit of a tactile kind of person and the raised bumps nestled in the pierced swirls is all sorts of wonderful.  I pierced my pattern then applied the enamel accents.  I set it aside to dry thoroughly while I went and had supper.  The bottle directions say to let it dry overnight, but my dots are small and don't used that much product.  Once dry, I sponged the sentiment piece with Pumice Stone distress ink, and the white enamel drops pop right out because they resist the ink so perfectly.  BTW, Pumice Stone Distress Ink co-ordinates with many of the new product you will see in LSS this fall and winter.

I used the Unity sentiment 'Just Be', available as a single stamp or in a quote bundle pack.  I stamped the image in dark brown and then featured key words by tracing over them with atyou Spica pens (lipstick and chocolate). IRL, the effect is understated loveliness with a hint of shimmer.

And then, I couldn't find a single place to pop a bow on, so breathed a little sad *sigh* and decided it was done enough to post...

stamps; just be or quote bundle pack (unity stamp co)
paper; pyrus 6x6 pad (basic grey), cherry vanilla, brown, coconut swirl (bazzill)
ink; espresso adirondack, pumice stone, tattered rose distress ink (ranger)
accessories; autumn branch, border punch (martha stewart), mulberry rose (petaloo), enamel accents (ranger), piercing template (ornare), atyou spica pens (copic)
