Chicken Girl Designs and the rain is comin' down!
Actually, where I am, the snow is coming down. It's okay - it's a very good thing and the snow makes for a very slow moisture release that the ground can absorb rather than there being a great deal of run off. When I think spring, I'm still not jaded and I think rain and tulips. I remember as a little girl skipping along in the rain wearing my pink rubber boots, twirling my red umbrella with the polka dot trim. Now, my youngest daughter does this same thing in her red rubber boots and my old umbrella, which still looks almost good as new!
I love this Chicken girl image because I'm SO partial to dogs and I love the memory that it brings back to me. I coloured it with copic markers and added a little depth with prismacolours. The raindrops are super shimmery with the use of icicle stickles. I tried to make the umbrella look wet with glossy accents. I had to use a thin coat so it would dry fairly quickly. It's hard to see, but I tried to get a close up of it here;
I got my inspiration from a schwack of challenges;
Mojo Monday, Crazy Challenge, incy wincy, and Kaboodle Doodles
I'll link up my image and papers once the i {heart} papers website is back up and running - the server is down right now. Thanks so much for understanding.
