Check it Out!!!

Mint Motif by Kimberly Crawford launched a few days ago with Very Square Sentiments and Very Square. OH GOSH! What a very cool line of stamps!!! Today, in honour of the launch, the i {heart} papers design team is to CASE one of Kimberly's gorgeous cards from her blog, For the Love of Paper. That girl is totally loaded with talent, let me tell ya!! For those of you that are unsure of what CASE-ing is, pick someone else's card and CASE or get inspired by it, using all different supplies that you already have. So, just pick one card or project from her blog and then base your project around it (making sure you know which one it was so you can link back to it). Excellent CASE-ing etiquette involves giving credit where credit is due which, in this case, is linking to the original project that inspires you. Please use code ihp0510 when you upload to splitcoast or paper craft planet so we can look at your creation and leave you some LUV!

I chose this fabo card, Just Thinking of You to CASE. I love the simplicity of Kimberly's card. Somehow, I missed the simplicity boat with my card, but using the supplies I had on hand, this is as good as it gets! Here's my card;

I kept to using blue and green like Kimberly did. I used the layout she had. I tried to use the same shape and a sentiment rather than an image, like her card. I think I became a little attitudinally 'blech' about my card when I used my shimmer spritzes. I really love the amazing sparkle I get from this mist, but I think this was not the right place to use them... Yup, I didn't just use one for some subtle shine - I used 3 because I thought it would get better with the next application. BTW, it didn't. I used it on this Artisan Elements frame by Pink Paislee. Again, I really love this thing! It takes on the shimmer mist beautifully! These things colour like a dream and I love the detail in them. It looked much better on this card BEFORE I spritzed it.

I used my labels 4 nestie die to cut the layer under the sentiment because it fits so well with the Artisan Elements frame. This sentiment is from Our Craft Lounge, Dandy Days which I thought went particularly well with Kioshi designer paper from Basic Grey. This paper is just gorgeous, and the colours are DIVINE!!!

Have a marvelous Tuesday, people! Hump day is tomorrow and then the weekend is in sight! Thanks for stopping by and do check out what the rest of the i {heart} papers design team created for this challenge!

You did a great job using that BG paper--you still see all the prettiness around the sentiment--that's hard to do!

What a beautiful, inspiring card -- from the design down to the sentiment you chose.

Oh, and I saw your comment about getting your passport -- can't want to see you in Chicago!!!
