IHP Sketch challenge is Goin' Green
With this card I did faux watercolouring. I coloured the image (from Dandy Days by Our Craft Lounge) with markers and the gave it a little water spritz before I stamped it. *Uber* fab! I then sponged the image and gave it a spritz with Sparkle Shimmer spray. I used the emboss resist technique for the sketch correct card, sponged the edges and spritzed it too. I really like the subtlety of this spray because the shimmer is so fine and goes on very evenly.
The designer paper is from a new Cosmo Cricket line called, 'Garden Variety'. This whole pad is really super cute and has the terrific vintage feel that Cosmo Cricket is well-known for.
Please do check out what the rest of the design team did with this marvelous sketch;
stamps; dandy days (our craft lounge)
paper; garden variety (cosmo cricket), oxford, coconut swirl (bazzill)
ink; antique linen, tea dye, vintage photo soot black distress ink (ranger), versamark (tsukineko)
accessories; labels 4 and petite ovals nesties, ric rac pierceabilities (spellbinders), night blue pearl flourishes (zva), super fine ep, diamond stickles (ranger), sparkle shimmer spray (tsukineko)

WOW...gorgeous all the way around. That handle worked out perfectly and makes an outstanding ribbon for your project. Awesome job.
OMGoodness Loretta! What a gorgeous set they make! I can't believe you made such gorgeous bows with recycled ribbon! I love the subtle differences between techniques for the images...both fabulous and beautiful! Extra {{hugs}} for double duty! Love ya!
WOW! These are gorgeous! You sponged that?? It looks airbrushed. Funny thing...I've got John trained that before he throws anything out (well, not anything) he checks with me to see if I want to save it. HAHA!
Great use of the bag ~ lovely card!
Awesome Loretta! I love the bling and the sponging!I'm like Kate and all of my kids (and my husband) ask before tossing anything! My in-laws tease me because at xmas I save all of the tissue paper and boxes that no one wants and carefully fold and stack them up for stoage. I must say that I haven't spent a PENNY on boxes, bags or tissue in years :)
Oh My Wow Loretta, this is beautiful, love the Dandy Days set and the awesome colors, fab ribbon too!
I LOVE it! Recycled bag handles? Wow, who would have ever guessed? What a fantastic idea. I'm really going to be looking at things in a whole new light. Great idea Loretta.
Loretta, you cards are gorgeous! Wow, we crafters can find treasures in the most unlikely places, can't we? Great job!
Ha ha, I do that all the time, do a card and then check the sketch after! Both cards are great, seemed it worked out well for you this time, and good for you for recycling!
Wow, this is gorgeous! The image really has a watercolored look.
