This week, our February host, Linda Coughlin, is challenging us to try a new technique. We all stay in our comfort zone way too much, but it really is fun to try something new. Our challenge to you this week is to try out something that you have never done before. Surely there is a technique that has caught your eye and you've been wanting to try for yourself. Now's the time! We can't wait to see your new creations.
Remember, there is no time limit on our challenges. Please feel free to participate whenever you are able. To play along, upload your creation to your blog or gallery, then leave us a comment linking to your project so we can check it out. If you upload to SCS, remember to use keyword: OCCC.
This is looking a little like some Bailey's to me, but then again, I don't drink... It's the black, brown and green colours that make me think all things marvellously Irish with this card. This paper good from Lark today's Inspiration challenge on OCC reminded me of my origins paper by basic grey. I don't tend to use bird stamps, so I swapped out this partridge for some tea - I liked this stamp with this paper...no other reason needed! *grin*
I used Becca Feeken's Circle frame as my new technique. Here is her excellent tutorial with video. It's a pretty simple technique and it's one I've been dying to try and just never got around to. Thanks for the push in this direction today, Linda!!! Check out the rest of the new to me technique projects from the design team on the OCC blog by using the link on my sidebar. Enjoy your weekend!!!
