OCC Monochromatic Challenge IC199

This week on the OCC we will be making monochromatic cards. You can incorporate as many colors of one shade onto your card/project. You may also use neutrals (White, Cream, Kraft, and Black). We are anxious to what you create! Dana, you were a marvelous hostess! Thanks for all the wonderful inspiration.

Here's what I did for today's challenge;

My daughter wanted me to make a monochromatic pink card, so I dutifully went to my studio and all I could see was this cosmo cricket paper. Who am I to fight mojo when it hits me hard! *LOL*

You see, I saw these shoes on the pyjama squid website, today's inspiration challenge on SCS and I couldn't get them off my mind. I initially thought the lightest grey was sagier, and it wasn't until I came back to link that I saw it was grey. Anyhoo, I adore baby feet (the only feet I'll ever kiss!) and I think these little shoes are very smart looking. I really don't want another baby, I've had enough of that era in my life, but I really will have the best dressed grandkids on the block some day!

I used Thinking of You from Our Daily Bread Designs. I have loved using the Doodles sets that Kelley released this month. I stamped the pretty flourish butterfly behind the sentiment for a little added interest.

Take a little time this Saturday morning with your favourite hot beverage and check out what the rest of the design team did with this challenge!

Cindy, Dana, Jennifer, Jenny, Jocelyn, Linda, Lori, Melissa, Silke, and Wendy

Wow, your card is wonderful, Loretta. The paper is super - it would have grabbed me too - and I love all the layering you have done here. Those brads are fabulous and really finish the card off.
