Our Daily Bread Designs August Release

I'm over the moon thrilled to let the cat outta the bag - I have the honour of being a Guest Designer for Our Daily Bread Designs for August and September!! I'm delighted to work with such a wonderful group of ladies who love our Saviour and stamping as much as I do.

To see the releases for this month, pop by the Our Daily Bread home page to see the new sets in their entirety. These are truly amazing sets and Kelley always does such an fantastic job of the sentiments that she includes. This first card is from the set, 'Jesus';

This verse is from the Sermon on the Mount. I love it. The script is so elegant and I wanted to focus on this one sentiment. I used an Ornare piercing template to create a frame for this sentiment. It's always a challenge for me to stick down vellum because the glue usually shows and drives me a little loopy. I hid the adhesive in a few different places on this project. I used glue to adhere the pink paper under the sentiment under the silver corner pieces. Then, I used adhesive on the pink paper to adhere the center to the card and hold the vellum firmly in place. Next, I used adhesive on the corners and hid it with the brown flourish corner embellishments. Further, there is adhesive under the brown ribbon. And now I feel like I've shown you my undies drawer...

stamps; Jesus (ODBD)
paper; brown, flamingo (bazzill), heavy weight vellum (paper accents), ancesrty (K&Co)
ink; whisper white (SU!)
accessories; rectangle ornare piercing temple (ornare), cb fancy corners die (provo), pink ribbon (american elements), brown crochet and satin ribbons (may arts), white ep (tsukineko), clear rhinestones (kaiser & bazzill), ornate corners (boutique trims embellish it)

Kelley has also designed a stunning Happy Birthday set.

I coloured the watering can using prismacolours and chalk cream. I love the result. The rest of the image is coloured with prismacolours. I used the long mega deckle rectangle nesties to cut out the sentiment. I used the die as a stencil and sponged ink on to age the sentiment. THe designer paper for both cards is from K&Co, a pad called, 'Ancestry'.

A simple close-up of the watering can. To give it a little more life, I highlighted it with my white gel pen here and there. I love the delicate nature of this image and I know it will be one I come back to again and again.

stamps; happy birthday (ODBD)
paper; coconut swirl, capetown (bazzill), Ancestry (K&Co)
ink;
antique linen, tea dye, vintage photo distress ink, adirondack espresso (ranger)
accessories; cross charm (blue moon beads), silver brads (making memories), pink ribbon (american elements), ivory scallop and brown satin ribbon (may arts), adhesive pearls (kaiser), long mega deckle rectangles, nesties (spellbinders), prismacolours

There's a great deal more inspiration to be had from the rest of the ODBD design team. I know they would love it if you pop by and say, 'Hi!' Give a wave to Connie, Chris and Judy...
