OCC Christmas in August

I decided to get a jump on my Christmas card production and thought that it would make a good challenge. It wasn't until this week that I realized that I would have had a much more creative challenge if I said to make a pink Chirstmas card... or make your card Christmassy without using Chirstmas paper... or use a snowman... or a tree. You get the idea. Instead, today's OCC challenge is to make a Christmas card. I hope you will challenge yourself to make the prettiest little card evah! Make the card that you will send to your most favourite person on your card sending list.

There is no time limit on our challenges - feel free to participate whenever you are able. To play along, upload your creation to your blog or gallery, then leave us a comment linking to your project so we can check it out. If you upload to SCS, remember to use keyword: OCCC.

I used a Bella stamp called, 'three little Christmas trees'. I just love this stamp because it doesn't have to be just Chiristmas to use it. I pulled out my Wassail paper from Basic Grey for my colour palette. My sketch is from an older Splitcoast sketch challenge that I changed to accommodate this image.

A close-up shows the shading and the gems I used on this image.

Where I am, it's been a cold, wet summer, with a couple of warm days thrown in. It feels like fall today and so making a Christmas card feels like the right thing to do.

Check out the rest of the Christmas creations with the rest of the OCC design team and I look forward to seeing what you create!
