OCC Red, White and Blue!

Happy 4th of July to all my American visitors!!! Enjoy your celebrations!

This week Jenny Gropp has challenged the OCC to create a card/project using “Red, White and Blue" as your color combo. It does not have to be Patriotic Themed -- and you can can use any shades of those colors that inspire you. There is no time limit on our challenges - feel free to participate whenever you are able. To play along, upload your creation to your blog or gallery, then leave us a comment linking to your project so we can check it out. If you upload to SCS, remember to use keyword: OCCC.

I really don't like it when I order stamps and then due to my own busy-ness they don't get inky! I feel like I have wasted money when I do that, and like so many people I know, there's no money available to waste. I ordered these stamps from Unity Stamp Company a couple of months ago. They arrived and I happily went through my package, chuckling and chortling at all the inspiration that can be packed in one little brown package. I took them to my studio and set them with my Unity collection and that was that. Life happened and I thought of them only fleetingly since then. *My bad*

I used 2 stamps from the Everyday Adorable set. What was I thinking leaving all that rubbah clean for so long?!!! I stamped the floral image in Slate and filled in the 'petals' with stickles for some blingification. ;) I outlined the image with copics for a little subtle colour. I stamped the sentiment with slate ink as well.

Go ahead and check out what the other OCC girls have done using the links on my sidebar and then go hug someone and tell them - Freedom is worth it!

stamps; Everyday Adorable (Unity Stamp Co)
paper; Dutch Girl (Cosmo Cricket), Figgy Pudding (Basic Grey), blueberry, coconut swirl, dotted swiss white (Bazzill)
ink; slate (adirondack ink by ranger)
accessories; white satin ribbon, silver cord (SU!), heart charm (blue moon beads), labels large nestabilities (spellbinders), clear rhinestones (kaiser), red rhinestone (MAMBI), stardust stickles (ranger), copic markers
