OCC March Limited Supplies Challenge

Technically, this card fits the limited supply challenge on OCC. I know it looks like far more layers than the challenge allows, but each one of those scalloped layers are very narrow, so there is no place on this card that is more than 3 layers. What I learned; cut the strips after the paper has been put through the punch, not before! *sigh* Yes, I trimmed the strips before I punched them. This really wasn't an issue until I did the vertical strips which are only 2 1/2" wide. This is the same width as the upper piece of the punch. D'Oh!!!!

This card was very challenging for me. All my card sensibilities think this needs more layers around the main image. I may still do that. I also think it needs brads. I may still do that too.

This main image is from Sugar Nellie. Seriously cutie patootie stamps they have there. I chose colours from the designer paper to colour the image. Honestly, so much of this card was done backwards, I'm surprised it got done at all.

I encourage you to stop by Our Creative Corner for the details for this challenge and more design team cards and go to each individual blog for more details. Our design team; Kim, Cindy, Vicki, Robin, Frances, Jenny, Lori, Silke, Jennifer, and guest designer; Christine Okken

Thank you so much for stopping by to see my blog today!

stamps; reflections (sugar nellie)
paper; sonoma collection (senic route), old olive (SU!), daisy, amsterdam (bazzill)
ink; noir (palette), barely banana, so saffron, more mustard (SU!)
accessories; old olive poly twill (SU!), martha stewart edge punch, corner punch (ek success), prismacolors

I had such a hard time with three layers-- You did great -- your card fools the eye with the layers -- great job!!!

Gorgeous, I thought you had more than 3 layers. I had trouble with 3 layers and 1 embellishments. Happy week-end.

Gorgeous! You were so creative with the 3 layer thing. I thought that we could only use 3 pieces of paper total. I wasn't as creative as you all and didn't see the layers as levels. lol You did great!
