WT204 Ode to Pearl

This morning I went into the garage for foster dog care. Those puppies are all so sweet and I must say there is nothing so appealing as puppy breath! Four of the puppies were sleeping and one was just starting to fuss a little so I picked that one up. It was Pearl. I held her in close and then Diamond laid down and curled up around the other puppies. My oldest DD was with me and asked to hold Pearl. I handed her over and when her fingers touched mine, I told her to not be surprised if that puppy squealed like a pig - her fingers were COLD! Within moments Pearl was protesting in earnest! Diamond stood up, concerned with the sounds her baby was making. I took Pearl back and she quieted in short order. Then, she gave the biggest puppy sigh I have ever witnessed and fell back asleep.

With the puppy asleep, Diamond laid back down and the other puppies started in on breakfast. After several heavenly moments, I set Pearl down to her breakfast and you won't believe what she did! Pearl crawled along Diamond's belly under the other puppies unlatching them all, one by one. Oh, the commotion that followed!

So, in honour of that little critter that made me laugh today, I made this card. It's all creamy and pink, just like Pearl and if she were a person, I believe this is what she would look like when she turned four.
