LSC206 The Truth

The first time I saw this sentiment, I teared up. I believe that prayer is my FIRST, best line of defense or offense, as the case may be. I'm not one of these people who get up at 5am to spend an hour in prayer, but I do respect people who have that discipline. I'm still tired at 5am, and since I want to come joyfully before the throne of grace, I start my conversation with God when I am rested. I tend to be a little grumpy and don't make much sense when I am tired - my children are witnesses to this fact. Some days, I just need a nap!

This sentiment says;

I have been driven many times to my knees by the overwhelming conviction that I had nowhere else to go. - Abraham Lincoln

There were many times when I was nursing my children as babies I experienced promptings to pray for certain people or things. I have witnessed the power of prayer and it never ceases to amaze me.

I am one of those people with a constant conversation God happening. Some days it can be pretty one sided - that is never a good thing, those days that I talk so much that I don't listen enough or those days that the Holy Spirit is busy growing me. I don't always like being stretched. I don't like exercising either, but I know it's good for me too.

This card ended up a little heavier with the sponging than I intended, so if I case it, I'll go lighter around the sentiment. I think it's a genderless card which is good for me because I feel like I never have enough masculine cards.

Have a wonderful day!

I am with you on that quote, it is heart-rendering. I try to pray without ceasing, but miss the mark more than I care to admit. I am so happy my Lord meets me where I am.

Thanks for sharing, it blessed me today

I love this card! The colors are scrumptious and the bauble is so elegant. It just makes me want to get the new nestabilities even more.

I ran into your card on ODBD site and decided to check out your blog...I am so glad I did! Your work is beautiful and a joy to look at! It is so nice to find someone who talks about her faith with such ease. It was the last time I was driven to my knees that it finally made that life changing impression on my life.
Anyway, just wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed looking at your work and strolling through your blog.

Thanks for sharing this! I'm just catching up on my blog reading...I designed that set for ODBD - loved that quote too and wanted to share it with other stampers - we have had many of those situations in our family recently where it was so clear that only the Lord could pull us through. I wonder often how people without the Lord keep going...! Blessings for your Sunday.......
