I took advantage of the sale on backgrounders that CHF had a couple of weeks ago. {insert contented sigh} This is the Victorian Pattern Backgrounder. It is not designer paper. This was NOT a 10 minute card. {insert contented sigh} I love detail - lots of detail. For me, quickie cards can be uber fab and they have their place fer sher, but I love lots of little details, over the top details, mind blowing details! This darn near blew my mind!!!

I stamped the image on black card stock with white craft ink and heat set it. Then, I used prismacolors to colour in the entire image. Some days I have nothing but time on my hands... I went over many of the lines of the image with white gel pen to make them pop as they get quite dim when they are coloured over. I went over all the remaining dots and little details with a stardust gel pen to bling it up a notch.

I let the image sit overnight because I was just so tickled about how it turned out that I had no idea what to do with it! I rarely plan my projects. Mostly, they just happen to come together. I sit at my desk and ask myself, "what would happen if..."

My oldest DD regularly says to me, "Mom, you worry me!"

"Why?"

"I'm not sure. You just do!"

Hmmm... I guess this is where a mind almost singularly focused on logic and a mind that is so often indulged in flights of whimsy meet.

This is a close up of the panel.

You could have just framed the panel all by itself! Another beautiful detailed project - you made a lovely card out of it!
